In order to become a Clinical Supervisor to supervise F2s, GP Retainers & GP ST1 & ST2 trainees, you will first need to attend a 2-day Prospective Clinical Supervisors Course. These are held at Severn Postgraduate Medical Education.
The courses contain some information on learning styles and how to teach and support effectively. The courses are tailored to the needs of the participants and should provide information for whatever grade of doctor a Clinical Supervisor is intending to support. The deposit of £100 is refundable once Clinical Supervisor status has been approved.
The next Prospective Clinical Supervisors Courses are:
- Summer 2014: Wednesday & Thursday, 4 & 5 June
- Autumn 2014: Wednesday & Thursday, 10 & 11 September
Contact Jackie Pullin for further information.
Once you have completed the Prospective Clinical Supervisor Course, you need to apply to become an approved Clinical Supervisor.
