Dear All,

We are now taking bookings for the 54th Severn Faculty Gale Lecture which will be held on Friday 18th May 2012.

This is our annual lecture and dinner held in memory of Dr Arthur H Gale, which will be held this year at the brand new Mshed museum, located on the historic dockside in the centre of Bristol.

Our guest speaker this year is Professor David Nutt. Professor Nutt is Professor of Neuropsychopharmacology at Imperial College, London. He is perhaps most widely known for his work on drug harms and their classification and he is the current Chair of the Independent Scientific Committee on Drugs and the former Chair of the government's Advisory Committee on the Misuse of Drugs.

Don’t miss the opportunity to hear Professor Nutt speak about ‘The classification of drugs of addiction and the trials and tribulations of a Government adviser’.

The evening will begin with a drinks reception and private viewing of Mshed’s Bristol People gallery.

  • Private Gallery Viewing & Drinks Reception 18.30
  • Lecture 19:30
  • Dinner 20:45

Ticket Price: £45 for members/ £50 for non members (ticket price includes drinks reception, private gallery viewing, Professor Nutt’s lecture and three course dinner).
