Severn GP COVID-19 FAQ and Resources
This page aims to provide you with help and guidance as it becomes available as we work our way through the coronavirus pandemic. We may not have all the answers to your questions but as further national guidance becomes available and we have additional information, we will update this page and communicate to everyone as necessary.
There is also a HEE COVID-19 FAQ page which is managed by the HEE Central Communications team. We would also encourage you to take a look at that page as it will have the very latest information as the situation evolves.
The RCGP have also developed their own COVID-19 Resource and FAQ page.
Head of School communications
Dr Simon Newton (Head of School of Primary Care (Severn)) will continue to send communications to all GPSTs, HEE Faculty, ESs, CSs, Practice Managers and Programme admin teams to update everyone as the situation develops. You can find his previous emails here.
The SoPC team are collating a list of useful resources for GPSTs and supervisors. We will add to this list as further resources on other topics become available.
COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions for GPSTs
We understand that you will have very many questions about how this pandemic will affect you and your training. HEE has developed some online resources for trainees and we wanted to supplement this with some GP-specific questions that we have been receiving. We will provide answers where we can and also let you know where we don’t have information available at this time.
MRCGP Recorded Consultation Assessment (RCA)
Please click here for the recording of the Microsoft Teams webinar about the new RCA MRCGP assessment held on Wednesday 20th May 2020. The RCA is being introduced to temporarily replace the CSA during Covid.
There is still lots of uncertainty and, at the time of writing this, there are no published details about the RCA. The GP Schools do however have some informal information about the likely structure and content. We took this as an opportunity to share what we know and provide you with an opportunity to ask questions.
Please follow this link for 'The RCA at a Glance' document.
