On Foot or Bicycle from Bristol Parkway Station

This is mostly a flat walk that takes about 15 minutes.

Directions from Bristol Parkway Station:

  • Exit the Station terminal building and head right to exit the station from the back of the car park onto Hunts Ground Road.
  • Go left at the first roundabout (1st exit) onto Newbrick Road and turn right at the next roundabout (3rd exit)
  • At the mini roundabout turn left (1st exit) and you will see Park House ahead of you.

Please be aware that there are no facilities at Severn PGME to buy food or drink. There are also no local amenities within walking distance of Severn PGME however, there is a Co-operative Food (BS36 1BQ, 1.4 miles) and Tesco (BS32 8EF, 1.7 miles) within driving distance. Visitors are advised to bring a packed lunch and/or snacks if they will be on-site for any length of time.

  • Bristol Parkway mainline station is approximately 1 mile away and about a 15 minute walk, a 5 minute cycle, or a 4 minute taxi. See "Find us by Foot" for more details.
  • Temple Meads mainline station is approximately 7 miles away and about a 20 minutes taxi ride (allow 50 minutes during peak times).

Bristol is well served by the motorway network and is equally accessible from the M5 and the M4.

From M5 Junction 16

  • Exit M5 at Junction 16 and at the slip road roundabout head South on the A38 towards Filton, Bristol.
  • Take first exit at the next roundabout but keep to the right hand lane as you enter this road so you can drive straight on at the traffic lights.
  • Take third exit at the next roundabout.
  • Drive straight on passed Tesco on your right.
  • Go straight over the next four roundabouts onto Great Stoke Way.
  • Turn right (2nd exit) at the next roundabout onto Parkway.
  • *Turn right at the roundabout (3rd exit) onto Newbrick Road and again turn right at the next roundabout (3rd exit).
  • At the mini roundabout turn left (1st exit) and you will see Park House in front of you.

From M4 Junction 19 via M32 Junction 1

  • Exit M4 at Junction 19 to join the M32.
  • Keep in left lane and exit M32 at Junction 1.
  • Turn right (3rd exit) at the roundabout onto Filton Road.
  • Keep right on dual carriageway and turn right at the traffic lights onto Stoke Gifford Bypass.
  • Follow this road until you reach the roundabout and turn left (1st exit) onto Parkway.
  • *Turn right at the roundabout (3rd exit) onto Newbrick Road and again turn right at the next roundabout (3rd exit).

From A38 Gloucester Road

  • Exit at the Patchway junction for the B4057 and head towards Winterbourne.
  • Follow the B4057 Winterbourne Road going straight over the first large roundabout and turn right (3rd exit) at the second roundabout onto Great Stoke Way.
  • Turn right (2nd exit) at the next roundabout onto Parkway.
  • *Turn right at the roundabout (3rd exit) onto Newbrick Road and again turn right at the next roundabout (3rd exit).

There are a number of bus stops within walking distance of Park House, including those that stop at Bristol Parkway Station. The closest bus stops to us are on Parkway, named Hunts Ground Road, servicing the 963 and S7C routes and on Great Stoke Way, named Great Stoke, servicing the T1 route.
